great book January 6, 2009
This is a really sweet book to read to your child! The illustrations are beautiful. We would read it to our baby before she was born.
 cute...but not for all December 15, 2008
Cute story & illustrations. (Story assumes parents visited doctors & gave birth at hospital so those parents who had home births might not find the book appropriate for them.)
Such a sweet story to share with your lil one December 15, 2008
My daughter is only 6 mos. right now, but I HAD TO HAVE This story! IT's so sweet in explaining about how parents plan and ask God for their children and consider them a blessing. I can't wait to share and read this to her for years to come. It talks about the mama's growing belly, daddy talking to her inside the womb, listening to the heartbeat and going to the hospital to be born. Very cute and great pictures too!
A Precious Book October 16, 2008
This book is wonderful!! It explains the subject of where we come from in a thoughtful, truthful, and biblical manner. It's heartwarming, and my daughter absolutely loves it. She feels so special (as she should) when we read it and apply it to her. We actually have used this book to talk a little bit about the upcoming birth of our next baby. My daughter completely understands that her mommy's tummy is going to get bigger and bigger as the baby gets bigger and bigger just like the polar bear in God Gave Us You.

I absolutely love this book! I cried the first time I read it and still do! What a gift from God, indeed, a child is and it is refreshing to talk about God's role in our childrens' lives. I have looked at and purchased many books in preparation for my little one, and this one BY FAR impressed me most. I highly recommend this book if you want to talk about God and you sheer joy for your baby!
