Product Description
Most people don’t expect you to understand what we’re going to tell you in this book. And even if you understand, they don’t expect you to care. And even if you care, they don’t expect you to do anything about it. And even if you do something about it, they don’t expect it to last. We do. – Alex and Brett

5 out of 5 stars Great book-lots to think about   December 16, 2008
Book provides good insight into some successful teens and how greater responsibility/higher expectations brings out their best. Highly recommend for teenages and those who work with them.

4 out of 5 stars Good, but not what I expected   December 5, 2008
I picked up this book hoping it would speak to me as a parent struggling to help my child see that TV, video games and paintball aren't all life has to offer. But it truly is a book written by teens for teens.

What impressed me most about the book were the true-to-life stories. Christian advice books too often rely on anonymous or fabricated people. You never know whether the author is simply trying to make a point, or truly is telling a real story.

I think a book aimed at parents would be a next logical step for these authors. I simply don't know how to motivate my child to do more than he is asked to do and to do it with passion and dedication. I know that he has to have his own inner motivation, and this book is the sort that could set that in motion, but I wonder if there is a way for a parent to nudge a child as well.

4 out of 5 stars I would recommend.   December 2, 2008
As a 26 year old I found this book very motivational. Although it is written to teens it may be a little too dry for some. You have to get through the first 2 chapters.
The concepts in this book are a must know for all teens and parents of teens. I would recommend this book. I am hoping to get the DVD of the seminar itself.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Book - Wonderful Insights   November 30, 2008
This book is an outstanding encouragement for kids who are floundering and trying to find their way in a world that doesn't think they can do much for themselves or for others. My six kids will all read this book!
