Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great for any educator!   December 24, 2008
This is a quick read that fits together with formative assessment so well. I have already recommended it to several peers and they too love it. It really makes one think about the feedback that we give students and the power of simply changing a few words.

4 out of 5 stars Common Sense Feedback   December 22, 2008
This book renewed/reaffirmed information that I already knew. It discusses many different types of good and bad feedback and when they are appropriate in the classroom. While I was hoping for new information this did reaffirm what I already knew and reminded me of ways to give feedback that I hadn't used in years. This is a wonderful quick read that everyone should read and utilize if you have been in the classroom for over 3 years.

5 out of 5 stars A solid acquisition to any educator, no matter the subject   December 9, 2008
No one can improve on anything without feedback and criticism. "How to Give Effective Feedback to Your Students" is a guide for teachers and educators on how best to criticize their student's work. Too harsh, and you discourage them, too light, and they won't improve. This balance is discussed in great detail, and gives advice on giving good criticism to help their students progress as much as they possibly can. "How to Give Effective Feedback to Your Students" is a solid acquisition to any educator, no matter the subject.
